Trends in Lifestyle, Food and Fashion.

We love nothing more than a clean slate, and a year filled with opportunity and unknowns. We’ve got big plans in 2023 for Rey House and whilst we’re busy here at HQ we’re also taking a moment to look outwards at what to expect in the year ahead.

Foodie Things

Seaweed love it or hate it we’re set to see more seaweed pop up on menus over the next year. At the end of 2022 we saw people adding it to coffee (we’re not 100% sold on that yet!), facemasks and skin products, but seaweed is predicted to become a UK staple not only in restaurants but in 'at-home' cooking to. It’s a hugely versatile ingredient for soups, casseroles and sauces with others commenting on nutritional properties and great flavour. Let us know if you give it a try!

Fashion Things

Green is here to stay and we couldn’t be more please about it. Here at Rey House we want you to look and feel your best but all too often we can get stuck with wearing the same monochrome tones (we’re guilty of this ourselves).

So this year we challenge you to add a little colour with our gorgeous Emerald Green shirts, tops and dresses. Take a look here. We’ll be sharing more on trends you can expect to see in 2023, stay tuned.

Lifestyle Things

2023 continues to put wellness; particularly mental and physical health at the very top of the list. We know that wellness looks different for every one and we know that how you feel in yourself is a huge part of that. When we carried out research whilst designing our collection we found that a staggering 91.8% of women in the UK struggled to find clothes that properly fit.

Adding that 1 in 5 adults aged 55+ felt anxious or depressed about their body image. Rey House was born out of a love for well-made, well-fitting, timeless pieces - we already know from our customers that clothes that fit properly REALLY matter. So as we come to the end of the month we’re continuing with our research and our mission to make sure women feel their best.

Other things

We’ve been loving all female hiking groups – there has been a huge rise in women-only weekends, breaks and retreats over the last couple of years and they're only growing in popularity. We all know getting outdoors does wonder for your wellbeing so why not meet up with likeminded folk and try a walking group near you.
