Why We are focusing on Quality Clothing
The quality of women's clothing in the UK has been a topic of concern for consumers and industry experts alike. There are several reasons why the quality of women's clothing may be perceived as poor in the UK. We at Rey House are making clothes to last and to be worn repeatedly. We are very particular and focused on putting these problem right, by doing the right thing for our brand. We are now working with a couple of leading technology companies in order to do the right thing for our customers, for our business and for the industry. The reasons for poor quality in our view:

Fast Fashion: The fast fashion industry, which produces low-cost clothing quickly, has led to a focus on quantity over quality. This means that many clothing items may not be made to last, and may not be as durable as higher-quality clothing. According to Fashion Revolution, a UK-based advocacy group, fast fashion is responsible for "the production of cheap, disposable clothing, which is often made from synthetic and non-biodegradable materials."

Cheap Labor: In many cases, low-quality clothing is produced in countries where labor is cheap, and workers may not be paid a fair wage or have proper working conditions. According to a report by the Ethical Trading Initiative, a UK-based organization, "many garment workers in developing countries are paid poverty wages and have no access to trade union representation or other forms of worker representation."

High Demand: The high demand for low-cost clothing can also contribute to the poor quality of women's clothing in the UK. According to a report by the UK's parliamentary Environmental Audit Committee, "the high street is under pressure to meet the demands of consumers for cheap, disposable clothing, which is often made from synthetic and non-biodegradable materials."

Lack of regulation: The lack of regulation in the fashion industry can also contribute to poor quality clothing. According to a report by the parliamentary Environmental Audit Committee, "the lack of regulation and oversight in the global textile and clothing supply chain has led to poor working conditions, environmental degradation, and other negative impacts."

"The pressure to meet the demands of consumers for cheap, disposable clothing has led to poor quality items being produced in large quantities and often under poor working conditions" - Mary Creagh MP, Chair of the parliamentary Environmental Audit Committee.

"Many garment workers in developing countries are paid poverty wages and have no access to trade union representation or other forms of worker representation" - Ethical Trading Initiative.

"The fast fashion industry is responsible for the production of cheap, disposable clothing, which is often made from synthetic and non-biodegradable materials" - Fashion Revolution.

In conclusion, the reasons why the quality of women's clothing may be perceived as poor in the UK can be attributed to a number of factors, including fast fashion, cheap labor, high demand, and lack of regulation in the fashion industry. It's important for consumers, retailers and the government to take responsibility and make conscious choices in order to improve the quality of clothing and ensure fair and safe working conditions for those who produce them. Check out Rey House Clothing we believe we are leading the way in designing and producing quality clothes that fit and last.
